Wiezoplast chooses Sandretto for preserve food |
||
The food industry is always searching for new ideas for packaging systems meeting the pressing needs of practicality, health, and compatibility with the products to be preserved. Wiezoplast was able to interpret such needs through a production system that optimizes the injection molding process by utilizing carefully selected plastic materials.
It is definitively not an easy job to achieve the acknowledgement as a reliable supplier of food packaging. It is necessary that all production setting parameters, from engineering capacity to the choice of materials and processing systems, meet the standard requirements of the food industry.
The Dutch company Wiezoplast has succeeded in the past years in complying with the required parameters by setting up a production system based on their own experience and engineering capacity as well as on the choice of reliable suppliers.
100% food compatible raw materials are selected from important producers of special compound formulations, which once processed must not interact with the food inside the packaging, must assure the food preservation, must be resistant to sudden changes in temperature (from a freezer to a micro-wave), and keep constant the packaging features also for future use.
Research on molding technologies able to process under ideal conditions materials such as PP, LDPE, HDPE, POM, PA6, PA6-GV, ABS PC and PC/ABC-blends, avoiding any kind of contamination, have brought Wiezoplast to purchase exclusively Sandretto injection molding presses.
In the Oss factory covering 8000 sq.m., the entire surface dedicated to injection molding (2000 sq.m.) is equipped with Sandretto presses ranging from 200 to 820 tons: 6 Mach-2 units from 200 to 300 tons, 3 Mach-3 units from 200 to 360 tons, 6 Serie Otto units from 60 to 480 tons and 1 Mega T 820 ton unit. The entire manufacturing equipment consisting of presses with robots for unloading and stacking of the pieces, guarantee an annual production of 400 million components by processing 2300 tons of raw material, mainly PP (80%) and LDPE/HDPE.
The 9 Mach units are used to mold with a fast processing cycle thin thickness parts (basins and covers). One of these, served by an in-mold loading of labels, is exclusively used for IML molding (In-Mould Labeling), an application for which Wiezoplast wants to buy new Sandretto Mach-3 presses to meet the growing demand. The Serie Otto and Mega T presses are used to manufacture both components for the food industry and technical items.
The very positive relationship of performance/reliability/price and the excellent service on site have confirmed Wiezoplast’s choice of Sandretto, who was able to assist the customer in all development stages for the setting up of new projects.
